We'll be focusing on the JOY of the wise men's journey, the PEACE found in the Good Shepherd, the HOPE promised in the prophecies of Jesus' birth, the LOVE of God revealed in Gabriel's message to Mary, and the messy place where Jesus first entered our world.

At the first Christmas, a couple of humble shepherds were invited to meet the Messiah. If you were having a Christmas party, would you invite people like that? At this time of the year, many people have a sentimental attraction to the traditions of Christmas, but by January, it's back to normal.
This week, we will consider the possibility that we can meet the Messiah at any time, not just Christmas.
The wonder of Christmas includes a wondrous peace because not only was our Savior born, but that also meant our Good Shepherd finally had arrived. The baby born in a Bethlehem sheep pen would grow up to lead, guide, provide, protect, and bring peace to all who would follow Him as their Good Shepherd

We start our story at the beginning, the birth of Jesus. This person, God in flesh came into a simple, lowly and unsanitised environment, by all accounts a messy place. Why? To save messy people.
