I will exalt you, my God and King, 

    and praise your name forever and ever.

I will praise you every day;

    yes, I will praise you forever.

Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise!

    No one can measure his greatness.

The Lord is merciful and compassionate,

    slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.

The Lord is close to all who call on him,

    yes, to all who call on him in truth.

   Psalm 145:1-3, 8, 18.

Pray for:

● Praise God for His majesty and His many mighty works.

● Praise God for His compassion and mercy.

O Lord, rescue me from evil people. 

    Protect me from those who are violent,

those who plot evil in their hearts

    and stir up trouble all day long.

Their tongues sting like a snake;

    the venom of a viper drips from their lips.

I said to the Lord, “You are my God!”

    Listen, O Lord, to my cries for mercy!

Surely righteous people are praising your name;

    the godly will live in your presence.

   Psalm 140:1-3, 6, 13.

Pray for:

● Consider the trials, temptations, or fears you may face this day. Trust the Lord to preserve you.

● Declare your confidence in the Lord and His salvation.

Search me, O God, and know my heart; 

    test me and know my anxious thoughts.

Point out anything in me that offends you,

    and lead me along the path of everlasting life.

   Psalm 139:23-24.

Pray for:

● Allow the Lord to search your heart for any unconfessed sin and to lead you in His truth.  

O Lord, you have examined my heart 

    and know everything about me.

You know when I sit down or stand up.

    You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.

You see me when I travel

    and when I rest at home.

    You know everything I do.

You know what I am going to say

    even before I say it, Lord.

You go before me and follow me.

    You place your hand of blessing on my head.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,

    too great for me to understand!

You saw me before I was born.

    Every day of my life was recorded in your book.

Every moment was laid out

    before a single day had passed.

How precious are your thoughts about me, O God.

    They cannot be numbered!

I can’t even count them;

    they outnumber the grains of sand!

And when I wake up,

    you are still with me!

   Psalm 139:1-6, 16-18.

Pray for:

● Praise God for His infinite wisdom and grace.

● Praise God for His precious thoughts about you. 

I give you thanks, O Lord, with all my heart; 

    I will sing your praises before the gods.

I bow before your holy Temple as I worship.

    I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness;

for your promises are backed

    by all the honor of your name.

As soon as I pray, you answer me;

    you encourage me by giving me strength.

Though the Lord is great, he cares for the humble,

    but he keeps his distance from the proud.

Though I am surrounded by troubles,

    you will protect me from the anger of my enemies.

You reach out your hand,

    and the power of your right hand saves me.

The Lord will work out his plans for my life—

    for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever.

   Psalm 138:1-3, 6-8.

Pray for:

● Praise God for His care for you and for your salvation.

When the Lord brought back his exiles, 

    it was like a dream!

We were filled with laughter,

    and we sang for joy.

And the other nations said,

    “What amazing things the Lord has done for them.”

Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us!

    What joy!

Restore our fortunes, Lord,

    as streams renew the desert.

Those who plant in tears

    will harvest with shouts of joy.

They weep as they go to plant their seed,

    but they sing as they return with the harvest.

   Psalm 126:1-6. 

Pray for:

● Praise God for the many wonderful things He has done for you.

● Pray that God would revive His church and that it would take up its mission with greater zeal.

I lift my eyes to you, 

    O God, enthroned in heaven.

We keep looking to the Lord our God for his mercy,

    just as servants keep their eyes on their master,

    as a slave girl watches her mistress for the slightest signal.

Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy.

   Psalm 123:1-3.

Pray for:

● Renew your commitment to serve the Lord by the power of His grace.

I look up to the mountains— 

    does my help come from there?

My help comes from the Lord,

    who made heaven and earth!

He will not let you stumble;

    the one who watches over you will not slumber.

Indeed, he who watches over Israel

    never slumbers or sleeps.

The Lord himself watches over you!

    The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade.

The sun will not harm you by day,

    nor the moon at night.

The Lord keeps you from all harm

    and watches over your life.

The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go,

    both now and forever.

   Psalm 121:1-8.

Pray for: 

● Look to the Lord for the help you need each day.

● Praise the Lord, and trust in Him who is your keeper and help.  

Joyful are people of integrity, 

    who follow the instructions of the Lord.

Joyful are those who obey his laws

    and search for him with all their hearts.

They do not compromise with evil,

    and they walk only in his paths.

You have charged us

    to keep your commandments carefully.

Oh, that my actions would consistently

    reflect your decrees!

Then I will not be ashamed

    when I compare my life with your commands.

   Psalm 119:1-6.

Pray for:

● Ask the Lord to help you keep His Word and to bless you as you do.  

Not to us, O Lord, not to us, 

    but to your name goes all the glory

    for your unfailing love and faithfulness.

All you who fear the Lord, trust the Lord!

    He is your helper and your shield.

The Lord remembers us and will bless us.

He will bless those who fear the Lord,

    both great and lowly.

May you be blessed by the Lord,

    who made heaven and earth.

   Psalm 115:1, 11-13, 15.

Pray for:

● Glorify God for His sovereign mercy, truth and greatness.

● Recall and claim again, the many blessings of God.

I will thank the Lord with all my heart 

    as I meet with his godly people.

How amazing are the deeds of the Lord!

    All who delight in him should ponder them.

Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty.

    His righteousness never fails.

He has paid a full ransom for his people.

    He has guaranteed his covenant with them forever.

    What a holy, awe-inspiring name he has!

   Psalm 111:1-3, 9.

Pray for:

● Praise the Lord for His many wonderful works and His faithfulness.

● Praise God for His Word, and resolve to submit to it for the wisdom of God.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! 

    His faithful love endures forever.

Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out!

    Tell others he has redeemed you from your enemies.

   Psalm 107:1-2.

Pray for:

● Praise God for His goodness to you.

● Intercede for your lost friends.

Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. 

    Let the whole world know what he has done.

Sing to him; yes, sing his praises.

    Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds.

Exult in his holy name;

    rejoice, you who worship the Lord.

Search for the Lord and for his strength;

    continually seek him.

Remember the wonders he has performed,

    his miracles, and the rulings he has given.

   Psalm 105:1-5.

Pray for:

● Praise God for His grace, greatness and mighty works.

● Praise the Lord for your own redemption in Jesus Christ.

The Lord is like a father to his children, 

    tender and compassionate to those who fear him.

For he knows how weak we are;

    he remembers we are only dust.

Our days on earth are like grass;

    like wildflowers, we bloom and die.

The wind blows, and we are gone—

    as though we had never been here.

But the love of the Lord remains forever

    with those who fear him.

   Psalm 103:13-17.

Pray for:

● Recall God’s mercy to Israel and reflect on His mercy to you.

● Pray for God’s guidance and wisdom to use your time wisely.

Let all that I am praise the Lord; 

    with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.

Let all that I am praise the Lord;

    may I never forget the good things he does for me.

He forgives all my sins

    and heals all my diseases.

He redeems me from death

    and crowns me with love and tender mercies.

He fills my life with good things.

    My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!

The Lord gives righteousness

    and justice to all who are treated unfairly.

The Lord is compassionate and merciful,

    slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.

   Psalm 103:1-6, 8.

Pray for:

● Praise God for His mercy, forgiveness, and daily provision.

● Recall His mercy to you and your loved ones.

May God be merciful and bless us. 

    May his face smile with favor on us.

May your ways be known throughout the earth,

    your saving power among people everywhere.

May the nations praise you, O God.

    Yes, may all the nations praise you.

Let the whole world sing for joy,

    because you govern the nations with justice

    and guide the people of the whole world.

   Psalm 67:1-4.

Pray for:

● Seek the favor of God that you may be used of Him to reach others for Christ.

● Name various friends you are actively seeking to reach.  

O God, you are my God; 

    I earnestly search for you.

My soul thirsts for you;

    my whole body longs for you…

Your unfailing love is better than life itself;

    how I praise you!

I will praise you as long as I live,

    lifting up my hands to you in prayer.

You satisfy me more than the richest feast.

    I will praise you with songs of joy.

I lie awake thinking of you,

    meditating on you through the night.

Because you are my helper,

    I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings.

I cling to you;

    your strong right hand holds me securely.

   Psalm 63:1, 3-8.

Pray for:

● Ask the Lord to increase your soul’s desire for Him and to show you His glory.

● Praise God for His many loving kindnesses.

Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy! 

    I look to you for protection.

I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings

    until the danger passes by.

I cry out to God Most High,

    to God who will fulfill his purpose for me.

He will send help from heaven to rescue me,

    disgracing those who hound me.

My God will send forth his unfailing love and faithfulness.

   Psalm 57:1-3.

Pray for:

● Seek God’s mercy and deliverance in the face of adversity or trial.

● Declare your trust in the Lord, and resolve to praise Him more and more

Have mercy on me, O God, 

    because of your unfailing love.

Because of your great compassion,

    blot out the stain of my sins.

Wash me clean from my guilt.

    Purify me from my sin.

Create in me a clean heart, O God.

    Renew a loyal spirit within me.

Do not banish me from your presence,

    and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me.

Restore to me the joy of your salvation,

    and make me willing to obey you.

Unseal my lips, O Lord,

    that my mouth may praise you.

You do not desire a sacrifice, or I would offer one.

    You do not want a burnt offering.

The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit.

    You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.

   Psalm 51:1-2, 10-12, 15-17.

Pray for:

● Thank God for His mercy, that in Jesus Christ we have forgiveness of our sins.

● Seek cleansing and renewal in God’s Spirit.

Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, 

    and keep the vows you made to the Most High.

Then call on me when you are in trouble,

    and I will rescue you,

    and you will give me glory.

   Psalm 50:14-15.

Pray for:

● Pray for the renewed vision of God in His greatness and might.

● Review your own worship: Is it merely outward or truly from the heart?

God is our refuge and strength, 

    always ready to help in times of trouble.

So we will not fear when earthquakes come

    and the mountains crumble into the sea.

Let the oceans roar and foam.

    Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!

 “Be still, and know that I am God!

    I will be honored by every nation.

    I will be honored throughout the world.”

   Psalm 46:1-3, 10.

Pray for:

● Praise the Lord who protects us in the face of every trial.

● Rest in the mighty presence of God.

As the deer longs for streams of water, 

    so I long for you, O God.

I thirst for God, the living God.

    When can I go and stand before him?

Why am I discouraged?

    Why is my heart so sad?

I will put my hope in God!

    I will praise him again—

    my Savior and my God!

   Psalm 42:1-2, 11.

Pray for:

● Pray that your soul may thirst for God

● Resolve to seek the Lord and praise Him in times of mourning or despair.

Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor! 

    The Lord rescues them when they are in trouble.

The Lord protects them

    and keeps them alive.

He gives them prosperity in the land

    and rescues them from their enemies.

The Lord nurses them when they are sick

    and restores them to health.

 “O Lord,” I prayed, “have mercy on me.

    Heal me, for I have sinned against you.”

   Psalm 41:1-4.

Pray for:

● Have you neglected any good works?

● Opportunity to be kind

● Remember that God blesses those who obey Him

● Seek forgiveness for sins of omission

“Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. 

    Remind me that my days are numbered—

    how fleeting my life is.

You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand.

    My entire lifetime is just a moment to you;

    at best, each of us is but a breath.”

We are merely moving shadows,

    and all our busy rushing ends in nothing.

We heap up wealth,

    not knowing who will spend it.

And so, Lord, where do I put my hope?

    My only hope is in you.

   Psalm 39:4-7.

Pray for:

● Renew your resolve to live each day fully for the Lord

● Hope in the Lord for forgiveness and renewing grace

Don’t worry about the wicked 

    or envy those who do wrong.

Trust in the Lord and do good.

    Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.

Take delight in the Lord,

    and he will give you your heart’s desires.

Commit everything you do to the Lord.

    Trust him, and he will help you.

Be still in the presence of the Lord,

    and wait patiently for him to act.

   Psalm 37:1, 3-5, 7

Pray for:

● Power to not be anxious over the wicked

● Trust in the Lord and rest in Him

● Wait on the Lord, and rest in His strength and salvation
